Following a 5,000 mile Atlantic marathon, the inaugural doublehanded Class 40 event - La Solidaire du Chocolat - proved to be a boon for Rogers Yacht Design as their Rogers Class 40s took two of the top three slots. The BMW Oracle Racing team has been training for the America's Cup in San Diego for over one year, yet their 90-foot trimaran is not often seen by the locals other than during their speedy tow between the ocean and their downtown base. However, now that they are testing their wing rig, the BOR-90 must sail in and out of the harbor, and are often training inside the harbor. While the wing is definitely a cool edition, just seeing the boat sail is what the locals have been waiting for. Photo by Colleen Cavalieri.
