+39 loses mast in Act 13 - April 4, 2007

During the afternoon race on Day 2, the fleet was converging on the first windward mark from both sides of the course... and two of the boats got too close. Here is the +39 mast coming down after clipping rigs with the United Internet Team Germany, which than retired from the race. Note the German team ducking +39 in the top photo to the right, and then exiting to the left of the second photo.
