Fresh Conditions at A Class North Americans

Newport, RI (September 13, 2016) – After winds struggled to develop yesterday as the 2016 Zhik A Class North American Championship got underway, today saw winds in the high teens with relentless waves that took their toll on the 45-boat fleet.

Reigning North American Champion Matt Struble (San Diego) leads the Foiling Division and Overall with four straight bullets over four races, followed by past North American Champion Lars Guck (Newport) and Bora Gulari (Detroit) in third. In the Classic (non-foiling) Division, Ken Marshack (Ridgefield, WA) leads with three bullets and a deuce.

Racing on Narragansett Bay is planned for September 12 to 15.
