Dickson follows Canfield in to Congressional Cup

Long Beach, CA (April 7, 2013) – Taylor Canfield and Scott Dickson already had their Congressional Cup berths locked up when they raced into the championship match of Long Beach Yacht Club’s Ficker Cup Sunday but, win or lose, that was important. Dickson advanced to the final by beating Dustin Durant, the defending Ficker champion, by 2-1 while Canfield swept Japan’s Waturu Sakamoto 2-0, before beating Dickson by a similar score in the Final. The 49th Congressional is Tuesday through Saturday, when they step up from Grade 2 to Grade 1 level on the global match racing circuit. – Full report
