NOOD circuit comes to Annapolis

The 2019 Helly Hansen National Offshore One Design (NOOD) Regatta Series looks toward its third stop of the 5-stage season on May 3-5 in Annapolis, MD.

Nearly 190 entrants are signed up to compete in 15 divisions, with several classes over 20 boats – J/22, J/70, and J/80 – while the J/105 is not far behind with 18 entries. Twenty-six entrants will compete in the one day Rally Race, preferring a format with a random leg course.

Every year, hundreds of local, regional and national sailors register to compete in the Helly Hansen NOOD Regatta Annapolis, vying for top marks in a wide array of classes and a chance at the Overall Winner title, which earns the winning team a berth at the Helly Hansen Caribbean NOOD Championship Regatta in the British Virgin Islands, Oct. 27-Nov. 1.
