PHOTO: New 86 meter Clipper to sail in 2014

Dykstra Naval Architects and Damen Shipyards have developed a new version of the full rigged sailing ship. The 86 meter new Clipper has been setup for sail training purposes for the Royal Navy of Oman and shall be a tough competitor within the Tall Ships fleet of today. The ship can accommodate 94 which includes permanent crew and trainees. Construction started at Damen shipyard and she will be delivered Summer 2014. Renderings courtesy of Dykstra Naval Architects
