Photographer Gilles Martin-Raget had a stunning photoshoot off Port Camargue (South France) this week as Kito De Pavant went for a sail on his 60 ft IMOCA monohull "Groupe Bel" in a Mistral gale to train for the next Vendée Globe due to start next November. Said Gilles, "What can I say ? It is just one of the craziest things a man can do with one boat. They were so overpowerd as the wind sometimes was gusting over 40 knots, they reached speeds in excess of 25 knots, and you can just wonder how those guys can do the same sort of thing in the Southern Ocean for day after day."
