Since September 2006, Craig Leweck has been the editor for the Scuttlebutt newsletter. Founded in 2007 by his father Tom, Scuttlebutt began as a local Southern California report, but the scope of news quickly expanded with the geographic growth of its audience. What began as a hobby soon changed the way the sport of sailing is covered by the media, and has snowballed into an internationally distributed publication, and what some acclaim to be the most prominent presence for sailing news on the Internet.
Craig first joined the family business in 2002, starting Inbox Communications to help develop the other aspects of the publication. Encouraged by readers to join the blogging world, Scuttleblog was started in December 2005 as a place to park personal commentary, and a means to share experiences in a more relaxed environment. Most of the blogging comes from Craig, but occasionally guests will join in.
