Race to Alaska Podcast

Published on April 25th, 2024

The Race to Alaska will hold its 8th edition in 2024, continuing with its 750-mile course from Port Townsend, WA to Ketchikan, AK. And now there is a podcast series prior to the June 9 start. In this episode, meet a trio of teams that each will require a blister-care technician:

Team SUP N Irish
After his 2023 attempt ended on the beaches of Klemtu, BC with a busted wing, stand-up paddler Peter Allen is back—and laser-focused on the sweet taste of Ketchikan victory, and finding his place as only the second SUP to finish.

Team Victory Oar Duff
The Royal Canadian Navy has officially approved this team. Need we say more? Okay—we will. These six intrepid, active-duty Canucks will be old-school sail-rowing their R2AK bid, and will prove once and for all that Canadian politeness is a superpower.

Team Hard on Port
Hailing from the Seattle area, and boasting an impressive rowing resume between the two of them, this team is bringing the intense focus of professional rocket engineers to bear as they finish up building their custom CLC Team Dory in the waning days of race prep.
