Host Needed for 2017 Para World Sailing Championship

World Sailing is inviting all Member National Authorities to bid for the 2017 Para World Sailing Championship. The Para World Sailing Championship is the premier event for disabled sailors in the Paralympic selected equipment.

The event will be an integral part of World Sailings continued efforts for sailing to be reinstated into the 2024 Paralympic Games through showcasing the athletes and the sport. With new classes and race formats being discussed, the 2017 Para Worlds will be the start of an exciting change and progression in disabled sailing.

Bids must be received by the World Sailing events team at the Executive Office and must include confirmation of support for the bid from the relevant Member National Authority. Bids will be reviewed by the Para World Sailing Committee before a decision is announced.

Information on delivery of the Para Worlds can be found in the Para World Sailing Race Management Manual.

Bids to host the 2017 Para Worlds must be received by Friday 18 November 2016.
